The Milbank Area volleyball team rebounded from a 25-18 first set loss to post a 3-1 victory over Clark/Willow Lake (CWL) Thursday, September 19, in Clark. The Bulldogs closed out the match with 25-17, 25-21 and 25-20 set wins.
The Milbank Area football team held Groton Area scoreless as the squad cruised to a 17-0 win in a Northeast Conference matchup Friday, September 20, at Groton. The Bulldogs move to 2-3 on the season.
The Milbank Area girls tennis team defeated Pierre and fell to Rapid City Stevens Saturday, September 21, at a tournament in Aberdeen. The squad did not play its third match against Huron because of weather delays.
Milbank seniors, Elsie Rogers and Max McCulloch, were chosen as the queen and king for the Milbank High School 2019 homecoming activities. The two were crowned during the annual coronation ceremony Monday, September 23, at the Milbank armory.
Nick Batchelor was the individual winner at the Ipswich cross country invitational Saturday, September 14, and paced the Bulldog boys team to first place in the team standings. The Lady Bulldogs claimed second in the meet.
The Milbank Area Lady Bulldogs volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Sisseton Thursday, September 12, at Sisseton. Set scores were 17-25, 17-25 and 17-25.
The score was tied at six after one quarter of play when the Bulldogs hosted the Dakota Valley Panthers football team Friday, September 13, but the home squad could not contain its opponent in the final quarters and suffered a 27-14 set back. Milbank Area falls to 1-3 overall.
The Milbank Area girls tennis team fell to the Watertown Arrows Tuesday, September 10, in Milbank. The squad also competed in a two-day tournament in Brandon Valley Friday and Saturday, September 13-14, and matched up against Montevideo, MN, Monday, September 16, in Montevideo.
The 2019 Milbank High School homecoming king and queen will be crowned Monday, September 23, during the homecoming coronation ceremony in the Milbank armory.
