Milbank’s Main Street sidewalk and street project has been progressing and the work is now focused in the 300 block. The 100 block is open to traffic on a graveled surface and most of the 200 block can be reached via the sidewalks in front of the buildings.
Officials with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, South Dakota, (NAMI) are working with a core group of Grant County volunteers to present a free series of classes geared toward parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.

A 30x40-foot addition to the Milbank Orphan Grain Train warehouse is currently under construction. The new space will be used for the Mercy Meals program which packs nutritional food packages with rice as the main ingredient.
