The Milbank Area Lady Bulldogs volleyball squad started its week with a win over Deuel Tuesday, September 3, in Milbank. The Lady Bulldogs narrowly fell to Webster Thursday, September 5, and participated in a varsity tournament in Montevideo, MN, Saturday, September 7.
The Milbank Area football team rallied from a 12-0 half-time deficit, but the squad ultimately suffered a 33-20 defeat at the hands of Huron Friday, September 6, in Huron. Milbank Area falls to 1-2 overall.
The Milbank Area girls tennis team defeated Pipestone, MN, Friday, September 6, in Milbank, and dropped matches to Aberdeen Central and Roncalli Tuesday, September 3, in Aberdeen. The squad’s match at Montevideo, MN, on Monday, September 9, was postponed until Monday, September 16.
Dakota Hills’ cross country runner Victoria Zirbel won the girls varsity race at the Pheasant Invite Thursday, September 5, in Redfield. She ran the course in a time of 20:00.16.
Whitetails Unlimited will host a Big Stone Lake Area Chapter banquet on Saturday, September 21, at the Gertje-Van Lith Big Stone American Legion in Big Stone City.
